Village Tour - Part 3, June 10, 2010

We took the faster route home, via Palma and the main highway. Changed for dinner and had a wonderfully delicious experience at Mar Blau, one of the waterfront seafood restaurants in Port de Andratx. Rita and I ordered the sea-salt baked sea bass for two. I had never had this dish before. They pack the sea bass in about a half inch think crust of sea salt and then bake it in the oven. They bring it to your table and, using a knife, chip the sea-salt away from the fish. They then fillet the fish and serve it to you. I was afraid it would taste salty but that was not the case. Its very juicy and moist as the sea salt keeps all the natural juices from escaping.
