Village Tour - Part 1, June 10, 2010

Another overcast day and so we decided to go and see some unique villages on the west side of Majorca. Visited Deia' and Valldemosa. Took the old road to the villages which runs up into the mountains along the west coast. The views are amazing but the road is very narrow with lots of hairpin turns making progress very slow.

First stop was the little mountain village of Deia'. It is very picturesque as the buildings are all made of the same ochre colored stone and most are very well kept. The actor, Micheal Douglas, has a residence here, which has helped put Diea' on the tourist map. But it still remains very unspoiled.
